My weekly pills, minus the 14 as required meds (most taken daily)…
Whilst I hate sorting these little fuckers out each week I thank God for their existence every day :)

So what’s wrong with me?

Although I don’t feel up to a full on description of life as me at the moment I thought I could at least share the nice list of things I have been diagnosed with…so here goes…

  • *Fibromyalgia
  • *M.E/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome)
  • *Trigeminal Neuralgia
  • *Depression
  • *Irritable Bowel Syndrome (with regular checks for Bowel Cancer)
  • *Myofascial Pain Syndrome
  • *Chronic Trochanteric Bursitis
  • *Restless Leg Syndrome
  • *Migraine
  • *Tension Headaches
  • *Acid Reflux (vocal chord involvement)
  • *Acne Rosecea
  • *Exercise Induced Asthma
  • *Scoliosis
  • *Hyperlordosis
  • *Vasomotor Rhinitis
  • *Possible Endometriosis (pelvic pain & bladder issues currently under investigation)
  • *Severe Neuropathic Pain in Thoracic Spine -cause as yet undetermined.

I will over the course of this blog go into more detail about these conditions (& others I have experienced) plus chat about my time as a carer, my work as a mentor for young people with medical problems and my work with the community pain management service (inc consulting on the development of the KYOH -Know Your Own Health website), but please feel free to ask me questions in the meantime.
xoxo

Answer:- Hey limpwithferrets, I know IBS can be incredibly painful, when I have flare ups I am the same as you. Luckily these severe flare ups aren’t as frequent as they used to be. I still get moderate cramps & constipation/diarrhoea a lot though. I’ve got things under control with medication mainly, I take mebeverine 135Mg 3xdaily, then 10-20Mg Hyoscine when I get cramps, along with pain medication (which one depends on severity)-be careful with the pain meds as codeine derivatives like vicodin are notorious for causing constipation and aggravating bowel problems. I would talk to your doctor about some alternative pain relief-there are plenty of others to choose from, but as always they all have contraindications & side effects but your doctor will be able to make the right call on which dependent on your medical history. So go see your Doc and check out your alternatives :-) Feel free to message me back if I can help further our if you just want to chat :-) Good luck X
